I was born 22 years ago today!!!!! Its my birthday!!!

Hello blizzard, nice to meet you.

So this past week I talked to my mom, and in our brief conversation she told me "honey you know what, there is going to be a winter storm this weekend that will shut down the midwest." Honestly my first thought was "I wonder if my final will be canceled...." and my second thought was "what does that even mean really?"
It sounds a bit dramatic.....shut down the midwest......but I was really excited. I love the snow! Yes its cold, yes its obnoxious when it gets inside your shirt or your socks and then melts on your skin, yes it is hard to drive in. But it is also so fun to play in, it is fun to eat (except if it is yellow, don't eat the yellow), it is fun on Christmas morning when you actually have a real white Christmas.
So really what I think I am writing about is how cool this winter storm really is. It did kind of "shut down the midwest".

Have yourself a merry little Christmas!

Christmas. Its my favorite. There are multiple reason that I love Christmas, and I'm sure that a lot of you will agree with my reasons. Welcome to the part of the show that I like to call "List making timeeeeeeeeeeeeeee"
-Socks. Now I know that "socks" isn't specifically a Christmas time thing, but Christmas is in winter and in winter you wear socks and i loooooove socks.
-The perfect blanket of snow that sometimes falls on Christmas morning, is it not the most peaceful thing ever? If you go walk outside and just stand there, it is absolutely quiet and its incredible.
-The feeling you have before going to bed on Christmas Eve. No matter how old  you are, its always exciting.
-Presents. Duh.
-Staying in my Pjs allllll freaking day
-Having my entire family together for an entire day.
-Watching Christmas movies while eating Dooley dip.
-Christmas movies
-Christmas music
-Downtown Chicago at Christmas time
-The midnight service at my church on Christmas eve.
-The fact that it is Jesus's birthday, I mean come on, how stinkin cool
So needless to say I just love Christmas. I love the warm feelings I get when I think about it and writing this post made me super excited for it. I can't wait for Christmas now! BAHHHHH CHRISTMAS!

So there are a lot of people in my family. And I am thankful for EVERY SINGLE ONE OF THEM!
First my Dad, he is probably one of the strongest men i know and he has the kindest heart. He cries, a lot, and i love that about him. I definitely get my humor from him, which means I have the sense of humor of a 6 year old boy......i love it. My dad goes out of his way to help people and I think that is so awesome. He seriously stops on bridges and helps people whose cars have broken down....seriously Dan? Way to set the bar high for me, how will i find a guy like that?
Then my momma. Ohhhhh Kimmy, she gives the best advice ever. And I always take it..........maybe I'm lying...okay I am lying, but I really should. She can always tell when I am upset or having a rough time with something, and she always knows how to make me feel better. And she is a fool, in a great way. Her and my dad, they both love to dance, and no my dad isn't a good dancer. My mom however is, she was totally a raider-ette in highschool aka she was on the dance team. But I honestly love my mom so incredibly much.
Maddie, I can't believe that there is someone in this world that is so much like me. I think I have laughed the hardest when I am around her. I can be completely myself around her and I love it. She is so awesome and talented. She is smart and artistic and funny and i am so proud of her!
My Grandma Dooley. How awesome is she. Yes she is hard of hearing and yes she gets us (cousins) the most random crap for christmas, but I love her so much. She cares so much for everyone in her family and she is so strong. She has had to deal with a lot without my grandpa and she has done it with grace. She use to sing in musicals, thats how my grandpa and her met, they were adorable.
Aunt Kathy. I. Love. My. Aunt. Kathy. She is just like my mom, its adorable, she is funny and just like my mom. Soooo yes. Thats why i love her.
Uncle Wayne. He is a quiet funny but he is funny just the same. I love his sense of humor and the mustache that he had when he was younger.
Nate. I respect nate so much! He works very hard and he loves his family very much. All of my guy cousins are big softies deep down.
Emma. She is so awesome! She knows just what to tell me when i hate my life and i love being around her. We don't see them nearly enough.
Nick. Nick is so smart! He does what he needs to do to be happy and i admire that. He is super cool too.
Aunt Dede. She is the kindest person! and also juuuuuuust like my mom. I love her so much as well.
Unca Jim. He is seriously good at magic.
Jamie. He makes movies! And they are good! I love him because he will have a movie premiere someday annnnnnnnnnd he will invite me.
Kaite. She is so dedicated to the things she does and she is really awesome! I love her to death.
Little Grandma (aka grandma philips) She is so funny and I love her, she can be pushy sometimes but she means well.
Grandpa. He knows literally everything. And he is a musician. How cool. I love him.
Sooooooo sorry this post is obnoxiously long......but it was the assignment.

perché no!

I spent most of my day today watching movies and doing homework. Yes I'm serious, I literally watched 5 movies (2 of those were the same movie.....I wasn't paying full attention the first time), but while I was watching them I encountered the same little bit of jealousy during every movie. This sounds dumb, I'm aware, but I was jealous of all the cool things these people in the movies could do and got to do! Here is a list of the movies I watched;
-Percy Jackson & the olympians: the lightning thief (Go ahead judge me)
- The Box (I envied absolutely nothing about this movie, it was horrible)
- The Great Mouse Detective
-Percy Jackson.......again......
-Letters To Juliet
In Percy Jackson, there was a lot of fighting, and even though i do not ever want to be in a fight with Zeus or whatever, but I was jealous of his seriously cool talents. I know I have talents, God gave each and every one of us, but I haven't ever really invested time into any of mine. How ridiculous is that? I mean come on Ele, God gave me a talent, just gave it to me, and I'm not thankful enough to put time and effort into making it stronger and putting it to good use. Ridiculous. So during that movie I decided that I needed to invest more time into finding my talents.
The movie The Box just creeped me out a lot. So that movie doesn't get a paragraph.
The Great Mouse Detective........okay so nothing about this movie really made me jealous, it was just one of my favorites as a kid. It made me miss being small.
And finally Letters to Juliet. What a wonderfully beautiful movie. It just made me want to see Italy and other beautiful places like that! And I decided, why not!! (ps-thats what the title of this post means, its why not in italian) Why don't I go somewhere beautiful and experience culture? Why don't I impact others lives in a great way? Why don't I give all I can to make others lives easier and better? Why don't I find my talents and use them to make me truly happy? And the answer to all of those questions is "I should" and "I will",  I'm still young and I need to have adventures and I need to do something amazing. So here we go! It might be a bit ambitious, but its worth trying.

Snow White and buckeyes

Lucky you who follow my blog! You get to read 2 posts from me today! So today when I was walking across ISU's campus to one of my classes i noticed a few woodland creatures that seemed to be following me. Now i know that they probably weren't actually following me, but at the time it really seemed like they were. And it made me feel cool and kinda creeped out. The woodland creatures consisted of; a squirrel, a bunny, and like 8 crows. The crows were like 20 times the size of my fist, not okay. They could have easily picked me up and flown away with me (they reminded me of these evil crows that were in a Hercules computer game i use to play, as a kiddo, that actually DID pick people up and carry them away) (and im sure none of you know what im talking about). But thankfully none of them abducted me, and I kinda felt like snow white with all my little animal friends following me, hence the title.
Allllllllso there is this legit buckeye tree that is sprouting the prettiest buckeyes! And i want to collect some but I haven't yet in fear that someone will see me and think im totally weird.

Is the brand of my underwear kleenex??

Soooooooooooo this is just how my life goes. Its awkward, and embarrassing, and weird, but i love it. Anywhos a couple weeks ago i was driving home from school to go to a doctor's apt that i had that morning, it was a friday, so i was already happy cause well duh its friday, that seriously has nothing to do with the story. So while i was driving i started sniffling and sneezing. And of course i didn't have ANY tissues in my car. My nose was literally dripping onto my pants (sorry its sick i know). So i was frantically searching for something i could use to blow my nose in! And what was the first thing i thought of? My undapannnnnnts........so i used them as tissues...seriously nast. But i couldn't help but giggle a bit because i just BLEW MY NOSE IN MY UNDERWEAR! Like who does that?
